Colosseum & Ancient Rome Small Group tour

Do’s:-

Wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees.
Wear comfortable shoes.
Consider bringing a pair of binoculars and a bottle of water.
Bring you cameras but remember to deactivate the flash.
Have a meal or a snack before the tour.

Don’t’s:-
Do not carry pocket knives or glass bottles
Do not carry large back packs.  Photo attached of what is acceptable.
Do not take photos or videos in the Sistine Chapel.
Do not wear a hat inside the church.

• Modestly accessible using a wheelchair. If possible we would request you to book a private tour.
• Steps involved and the walking distance is about 2.3 kilometres in the Vatican. Comfortable  sneakers with inner cushions are recommended.
• The museum allows strollers while the Basilica requires you to park them in the cloakroom.

• Men and Women are required to cover their shoulders & knees when in the Sistine & St. Peter’s Basilica. Men are allowed to wear dignified shorts coming below the knees.

Means of reaching the Vatican museum:

• Metro stop Cipro or Ottaviano on Line A
• Bus 492, 81
• Tram 19, Tram 12
• Taxi to the Entrance of the Vatican museum.

• The itinerary is not wheelchair accessible unless the person in the chair can stand up, climb and descend a few stairs.
• Please bring a bottle of water per person.
• If it is raining, carry umbrellas that are compact and can be folded and not ones that have sharp pokey ends. The long one given by your hotels will have to be checked into the cloakroom of the museum and involves a 1 km walk to get it back again.
• Carry medium size back packs as large ones will be checked into the cloak room and involve a long walk to get them back.
• The following items along with the bags will have to be checked into the cloak room: glass bottles of any kind, swiss knives, wine openers, large tripods and large bags.
• Photography is permitted in most rooms but without flash. It is prohibited to photograph inside the Sistine Chapel.
• The tour ends in front of the Basilica. You can spend more time inside the Basilica but you cannot go back to the Sistine Chapel nor the Museum.
• You can also choose to climb the dome on your own, for a separate fee.
• On Wednesdays the Basilica is closed until noon due to the Papal Audience.
• In extraordinary cases the Basilica could be closed without notice. This is out of our hands, but will give you an extended tour of the museum and description of the Basilica. Remind you the Sistine chapel is part of the museum and not the Basilica. Refunds will not be offered due to the closure of the church.
• A minimum of 2 people per booking is required to conduct a tour.
• Travellers should have a moderate physical fitness level
• Bring Umbrellas that can fold and are not long have a pokey end
• Not recommended for clients who cannot climb and descent stairs
• This tour/activity will have a maximum of 8 travellers

• Tours can be cancelled 96 hours before to get a full refund.
  Tours cancelled 72 to 24 hours before the tour will have ticket fee retained and only the balance amount will be refunded
  Non refund can be issued for tours cancelled 24 hours or less before the commencing time of the tour.
