  • From the 15th of March till the1st of November the Colosseum opens at 0830 am and closes for last admission at 5 pm. In the Winter from the 1 of Nov til the 14th of March the Colosseum opens at 0830 am and closes at 3 pm for last admission
How do I get to the meeting point?
  • You can reach the Colosseum by various modes of transportation, including metro, bus, and taxi. The nearest metro station is Colosseo, which is on Line B.
  • Buses 73, 3, 81, 51 also stop near the Colosseum.
  • Alternatively, you can take a taxi on via claudia or on top of the colosseum metro station, or walk if you're staying nearby.
What should I wear?
  • Comfortable shoes, such as sneakers with cushioned insoles, are highly recommended for walking.
  • There is no set dress code for visiting the Colosseum, the Forum or the Palatine Hill.
  • In the summer months, Rome can be hot and sunny, so lightweight, breathable clothes, a hat, and sunscreen are recommended.
