Start your journey by exploring Zurich’s Old Town (Altstadt), a historic district filled with cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, and iconic landmarks like the Grossmünster Church. Art lovers will appreciate a stop at Kunsthaus Zurich, Switzerland’s largest art museum, featuring masterpieces from the Middle Ages to modern times.

A guided tour is incomplete without a visit to Lake Zurich, where you can enjoy stunning waterfront views, boutique shopping, and local Swiss cuisine. For the best panoramic sights, head to Uetliberg Mountain, where a short hike or train ride will reward you with spectacular views of Zurich and the Swiss Alps, just 40 km away.

A City Steeped in History

Zurich’s roots go back to the Helvetii, a Celtic tribe that settled along the Limmat River. The Romans later developed the area into Turicum, a strategic trading post. By the 12th century, Zurich gained independence and later joined the Swiss Confederation in the 13th century.

The city played a major role in the Reformation during the 16th century, shaping Switzerland’s identity. Today, a guided tour offers an immersive way to experience this city’s rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture.
