Tour's Location

The tour commences at the entrance of the Vatican museum. Address: 101 Viale Vaticano or at your Hotel on request.
It concludes at your hotel or agreed upon site.

On certain days some of the sites may be closed or have different opening and closing times, eg St. Peter’s Basilica could be closed due to religious ceremonies; on those occasions we will not be able to visit the Basilica and instead will conduct an extended tour of the Museum & Sistine Chapel. From March 1st till 15th of November, every Wednesday the pope appears in St. Peter’s Square from 0900 am till 12 noon. The doors of the Sistine Chapel leading to the St.Peter’s Basilica will remain closed till 1:00 pm and hence we will not be including the St. Peter’s Basilica in our Itinerary on Wednesdays’. We can agree beforehand if there are certain sites that you wish to spend more time at.

The tour requires a minimum of 1 Person per booking to be conducted.
The tour/activity is designed to accommodate a maximum of 8 people.

If you are physically fit, most of the tour can be done on foot. Otherwise once you come to the meeting point, only one taxi tide is required to commute between the Vatican and Ancient Rome. The cost of the taxi is extra and is to be borne by the client. The guide will help get the cab.

Take the Metro Line A to either the Cipro or Ottaviano station.
Alternatively, use Bus 492.
You can also take a taxi directly to the entrance of the Vatican Museum.

The Vatican Museum opens at 8:00 am and closes for last admission at 6 pm. St Peter’s opens at 7:00am and closes for last admission at 6 pm. The church remains open for pilgrims on a Sunday but tours are unavailable. The museum is closed on a Sunday.

Comfortable shoes, such as sneakers with cushioned insoles, are highly recommended for walking.
Both men and women must cover their shoulders and knees when visiting the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Men may wear respectful shorts that extend below the knees.

A pair of binoculars and a bottle of water could be useful during your visit.
Feel free to bring your camera, but remember to turn off the flash in certain rooms.
If rain is expected, opt for a compact, foldable umbrella without sharp ends. Larger hotel umbrellas will need to be checked into the museum's cloakroom, requiring a 1 km walk to retrieve them.
Strollers are permitted in the Vatican museum, but the Basilica requires them to be left in the cloakroom. The Colosseum has nowhere to store baggage.
Medium-sized backpacks are allowed; however, large ones will need to be checked into the cloakroom, necessitating a long walk to retrieve them later.

Items such as large backpacks, pocket knives, glass bottles, wine openers, large tripods, and big bags are not allowed. They must be checked into the cloakroom.
Photography is allowed in most areas, but flash is prohibited. Taking photos inside the Sistine Chapel is strictly forbidden.
Visitors are required to remove their hats when entering holy sites.

This tour involves a fair amount of walking, some stairs, and uneven terrain. Visitors with mobility issues may find the tour challenging..
Unfortunately, the itinerary is not wheelchair accessible, as there are a few stairs to navigate. Those using wheelchairs must be able to stand and manage the steps.
Participants should ideally possess a moderate level of physical fitness for climbing and descending
The tour may not be suitable for those who have difficulty climbing and descending stairs.

We recommend you book two months in advance especially during peak season.

The Sistine Chapel is part of the museum, not the Basilica.
The sites have limited restroom facilities, so plan accordingly.
The Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill are closed on some holidays, so check the schedule with us before planning your visit.
In rare circumstances, the Basilica may be closed without prior notice. If this occurs, an extended tour of the museum and a detailed description of the Basilica will be provided.
Refunds will not be granted in the event of church closure.

For a full refund, tours must be cancelled at least 96 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
If a tour is cancelled between 72 and 24 hours before the tour, only the balance amount will be refunded, and the ticket fee will be retained.
No refund will be issued for tours cancelled within 24 hours or less of the scheduled start time.
